Express interest in Minakami to be introduced to a Japanese partner within 48 hours — no pressure, no sales pitch.
Fun fact; Gunma people are cheerful, open, and love gambling! Minakami feels like a rugged outdoor town with an old onsen soul, but some parts of the hot-spring area feel like they never fully recovered after the Showa bubble. Nature is the hero here: Tanigawa, rafting, canyoning, skiing and quiet ryokan stays. Convenience stores and restaurants are scattered, so this suits people happy to cook at home. Snowfall is lighter than Niigata but heavier than Numata, with winter roads generally well managed.
