- MichelleWe literally came home in February.
- And I started, you know, when I thought, I need to find a better way of doing this,
- I started looking at property, and research. Once I make my mind up about something,
- I will research and research. And then I was sort of a bit annoyed at myself that I didn't
- think of it when I was over there, and I could have looked at the property.
- JapanoMaYou could have, yeah.
- MichelleBut yeah, I only started this path for us when we got back from this trip,
- from February this year.
- JapanoMaYou didn't warn us that you'd be quick. Wow, that's quick.
- MichelleSo the first one wasn't for us. And then there wasn't a lot of options around that
- initial area that I looked at. So my next strategy was to search all the ski fields,
- and find another area that we might like to live in that was close to a ski field.

The family flew home from their third Hokkaido trip at the start of February. Michelle started researching that week. Once she makes her mind up about something she researches and researches, and her one regret was not thinking of it while they were still there, when she could have looked at houses in person.
The first house was not for them, and there were few other options around Shintoku, so her next strategy was to search every ski field in Hokkaido and find a town near one that the family might like to live in. That search is how Yubari came up.
Once I make my mind up about something, I will research and research.
